Why do people care so much about happiness?  Anyone who was happy all the time is an Idiot.  Life is about experiencing the different flavours that make up life.  Life is full of hardship and misery, to pretend otherwise is a fools errand, life is serious, not about constantly seeking pleasure, happiness and eating ice cream.   Happiness is a ridiculous ideal and the domain of childish daydreamers.  There are far greater things in life than a constant feeling of happiness.  Not only is such a state impossible to achieve, it is highly undesirable.  Grow the fuck up.

Did you just claim happiness was undersirable? at that point you are just saying stupid shit. Hedonism and pleasure seeking are what life is all about, suffering and hardships occur but aren't welcomed, anyone who says they are is a downright idiot. Suffering begets understanding but happniness and euphoria are desirable.
