Probably one of the best apples I have ever eaten in my life.  If you can find them, get them.  This year is exceptional.

From Washington state? I live here and ive never heard of those.... ive eaten our apples that look just like them, but they werent called lady alice...

Two something a pound.  I never thought I would find an apple better than HoneyCrisp and lo and behold, one comes along and knocks it off the plate (maybe).  Although I would really like a side by side comparison with a Honeycrisp for an expert evaluation.

Honeycrisp is an apple cultivar developed at the Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station's Horticultural Research Center at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and is right up there with Lady Alice.

Not even close.  Apples of different varieties have such distinct flavor differences, texture qualities and tasting notes.  An apple is NOT an apple.

Honeycrisp is amazing.  It is patented by the University of Minnesota, which this time around is attempting to maintain quality control by licensing the trees only to those growers located in ideal climates.

Did you read that book I pm'd you about?
I have not read that book, but will pick it up.  I definitely agree with the premise and have read others like it.  The South has been treated unfairly in the true context of history and the civil war.  Its a shame they don`t teach the facts, but rely on revisionist history in schools.
