The "Death Ray" is real

Based on Nicola Tesla's inventions. The Star Wars System from the 80s Regan wanted to create is this. It's a real death ray that can kill you and take out aircraft and buildings. It's directed energy.

Eh, who doesn't know this? My neighbor (just retired) was Director of Directed Energy Weapons for a local (very) large DoD contractor.

I keep offering to trade him a battle rifle for a pintle-mounted DE weapon. That would be sweet.
