The families of the missing passengers should be thankful that the flight wasn't with Ryanair They would have been invoiced for the plane and possibly charged a finder's fee.

So it's now been confirmed to be a near certain hijacking, the pilot, whoever it was, was following navigational waypoints that employed airline pilots use, specifically in this case the turn from the Malaca strait to the Andaman Islands , the plot thickens!I'm guessing Xfactor won't be posting in this thread anymore  ;D

The two pilots, of which one or both have to be the prime suspects with the way the plane was flown after the divert, both seem to set off the buzzer of the metal detector but are very lightly searched

The engine failed right after the transponder turned itself off, then in a separate incident, Hijackers took over the plane. In yet a another separate, unrelated incident, the plane entered the Dragon's triangle.

A nearby oil slick & massive debris are also unrelated to the plane in question.

The impression I get is that the working theory is the somebody/bodies or part of the cargo were what somebody wanted

It is as I first suspected, a bit of groundwork for a large scale 'alien abduction' cover story when the rapture happens.

When millions of Christians suddenly dissapear from the earth without a trace, no one will believe it was a large scale alien abduction, as 90% of people don't take any accounts of this stuff seriously.

However, if you do a few biggies like this one over the year that never get solved, it's far more believable.
