Sounds like a cover-up.

Someone made sure it would be hard to find anything.

Possible the plane never took off in the first place?

Doesn't it stop sending signals after a couple weeks?

The United States (in fact all the western powers with merchantile fleets) wants to know what happened.

Well uh, the plane crashed and everyone got killed? It seems that they can't deal with that ::)

Of course it crashed, but they want to know why.  They want a failure analysis.

its probably a simple thing.

a dud plane, it was a lemon, everything went off, I bet the black box was faulty too.
everything you see and read in the media is B.S there just creating stories.

Problem is family/friends of the 239 need closure.
Insurance company needs facts.
Malaysian airlines need facts but they will recover like Air France did.

they will eventually find it, but after this month what's the point.
Does the black box store information indefinitely or does it last for only 30 days???

Unless it has been suplanted, it is recorded on stainless steel wire.

The thirty days they refer to is the electronic noise maker that hydrophones can home in on.  The battery runs out around thirty days.

I figured that, I just have people telling me "the black box is a dud after 30 days" I doubted it, then someone else said it. But I believe its on there for life. yes it pings only for 30 days.

if iphone can upgrade every 6 months, Honeywell needs to upgrade the Blackbox. (ofcourse easier said then done)
I guess GPS does not work that far below the sea.

I guess GPS does not work that far below the sea.
The radio waves of the wavelength used by GPS can not penetrate water.

they will eventually find it, but after this month what's the point.

As far as finding debris, debris is important for analysis.
