Delayed onset muscle soreness
« on: March 10, 2014, 05:49:10 PM »
Any of you guys get this?  My legs get it the worst, two days after a leg workout, and it lasts about five days. Chest is about three days. My bis don't get it at all. Any of you guys have tricks to help with the muscle soreness?

Sometimes but not as often as I used to.

I actually like having it to a certain degree.

I've been very focused on my glutes lately and have had it the next day after an intense glute workout.

What I find helps ease it is a lot of stretching. Stretching just feels so damn good anyways.

Yes. Since I've been back full time in the gym 2 weeks ago my legs have been sore for 13 days straight. I train them twice a week sometimes 3 times. Not heavy heavy off course but just enough to stress them.

First chest workout I couldn't get out of bed the next day.

Its only really rough if you're a beginner or after a layoff... then your body adapts.

I squat 3x a week yet don't get that sore.

In a sever calorie deficit tho you will feel more sore than usual and usually quicker and it will last longer.

I always get it after I come back after an extended layoff.   I have DOMS 5-7 days afterward because I do too much... usually on purpose  ;D

... or eat more frequently. You will notice, usually more obvious with smaller bodypart;

workout then go on with your biznitch... stay busy eat minimally...
Then next workout, have a couple of big meals close after, vedge on the couch, eat some more... soreness will come much sooner; a sign of metabolism / anabolism acceleration.

When you drink, just use CellTech as mixer. Or MusclePharm products.
