Democratic party emphasizes the "intention" of their actions over the results of their actions. To them it doesn't matter if a social program exacerbates the situation and is a waste of resources. Forget the results.

What matters to them is the perception that they did something.

It is incredibly stupid for him to make that statement, since the GOP has been arguing since 2009 to keep taxes low or cut them due to the terrible economy.

It is the democrats who have raised taxes on anyone who is in the middle class and lower by increasing the payroll tax.

But, it's ok, because it's for their own good whether they like it or not. And if they don't want crapcare, they will be penalized heavily after the first year. Nothing says love and tolerance like stealing money from people.

So it's ok in this instance to break the promise of not raising taxes on anyone earning less than $250k.
