Id take a kodiak bear or a polar bear over any gorilla for sure.
Grizzly id say it would win 3/4 times.
Black bear id give a slight edge to a large aggressive ape. (60/40)

2) (not 100% sure on this) but think gorillas have close to 100% muscular efficiency so if they can lift 1000kg once they can lift it twenty times.

i think the only animal/predator that would put up a fight against a bear of that size would be a siberian tiger

but since we're on the topic of vegans an elephant, rhino, and probably a hippo would kill a kodiak bear

I have an eidetic memory and heard that before so it is probably (definitely) true. After you googled eidetic you can agree with me.

Being sober and being clever are different things.  ;D

I heard it before, if source was shitty so be it, but I remember hearing it. Couldn;t be fucked going past 1st page of google. Hard to convey what it's like having a strong memory, for numbers in particular.

It's off topic but I remember learning letters in creche, playing as a 2 year old, small details from cartoons as a child. Every car registration my parents had, every phone number of people in my contacts list, but I still forget names.

Back to topic, animals work on instinct, they are probably on or off. They don't consider that a foe will be hurt by a punch, they just hit. Same with lifting. All or nothing.

Did you just try to cite SuckMyMuscle as a source, lustsforallcocks?

You also don't seem to be smart enough to use the quote function correctly.

This topic has boiled down which animal would win in a fight.  :)

My view is that an African bull elephant would likely win in an animal fighting tournament, but it could be beaten by a black or white rhino (the black rhino is smaller but it is extremely aggressive and has been documented charging elephants away).

The Kodiak subspecies of Brown bear would likely win among carnivores but it just couldn't compete with the sheer size of an elephant, rhino, hippo.

But throw all these animals into the ocean and a blue whale could just swallow them whole...

Right so we are down to two in our quest to find out what is the toughest living thing -

In the red corner - the small pox virus, looking confident after decimating a white rhinoceros in the semi final. In the blue corner - HIV, feeling certain it will win, after riddling an entire population of gorillas en route to the final. This is gonna be too close to call...

What about of all time?

My guess would be that this guy would be the Undisputed Carnivorous Champion:

Spinosaurus would be hard to beat. Maybe unbeatable on land. But then a brachiosaurus or other large sauropod could toss himaround with a flick of the tail.

A silverback riding a brachiosaurus could not be beaten

A silverback riding on a Spinosaurus whilst carrying a Shark with a Lasercannon mounted on its back would be undisputed champ of Peace

But P4P most muscular would be Brach

I find absutely hysterical that one topic about gorillas and bears brought SMM out of hiding... Claiming eididic memory and all. Fucking priceless. Lured out with this thread like an episode of to catch a predator.

How the hell would it not fall over? That looks physically impossible unless he is in mid run or walk on all 4s

Its real life proportions were likely quite different than that image, most likely its tail was much bigger/heavier to act as a cointerbalance

Exactly, I mean I know a long tail can justify a very massive torso but that looks a little over the top,

They used to  draw dinosaurs more upright then around Jurassic Park the went very hunched over.

This is a physically sound lean :D

Jurassic Park declared that henceforth no one will depict a two legged dinosaur like this:

Gorillas are very strong but to do a clen and jerk you need to have extreme muscle coordination and timing. They don't have it.
