What're the white patches on Ronnie in BFTO '05?
« on: January 16, 2006, 11:42:39 AM »
in BFTO '05 ronnie had two white "patches" on each of his upper pecs.  they look almost like tobacco patches.  Mitz even zooms in on them when Ronnie takes of his shirt.  what are they?

They are those stupid "Lifewave" patches that supposedly increase your energy levels.

They are a scam but he endorses them...

I thought they were a scam until I bought 6 of those lifewave patches (enough for 3 days) from a Co-worker and had the best workouts ever.  I kid you not.   I may buy some more to see if I can get the same results or maybe it was just some weird kind of placebo effect, but they seriously did wonders for me and I'm the biggest sceptic ever.

lifewave is psuedo-science at its worst.  this pdf file from the lifewave website is full of sentences that have absolutely no meaning.  they define scientific words then combine them in ways that have no meaning.  "thermomagnetic field", "frequency signal", "frequency information", "passive transmitter", "resonately transfer energy".    All scientific words that have no meaning when put together.

in reality lifewave is multi-level marketing, where it's more important to get people to pay to become distributors than  to actually sell a product.

Actually, words such as "thermomagnetic field", "frequency signal", "frequency information", "passive transmitter" do have meaning.   Some of these words are terms that are used commonly in the field of physics and electronics.

thermomagnatism is a word, it's the conversion of heat to electricity.  and most of us know what a magnetic field is.  but putting the two together is meaningless.   same with the other terms.  frequency signal is meaningless by itself.  what kind of frequency?    If you're transmitting, then you're not being passive.   How do you transfer energy resonately?

I understand what you are saying.  These terms do have meaning, however, like yourself, I'm unclear how these terms apply to the human body.  i.e. thermomagnetics.  Maybe by "passive transmitter" they mean through other means other then transdermal.  Frequency signal is akin to a change in radio frequency, but once again, I don't know how this applies to the human body.  I didn't write the stuff.

I'm saying that its worse than that.  they combine two scientific words that have no meaning together.  there is such a thing as thermomagnetism.  And there is such a thing as magnetic field.  but there is no such thing as a thermomagnetic field.

and if you had read their liturature, you'd know that by transmitter they mean sending out a radio signal, so how can you passively send out a signal?

basically they're trying to apply scientific mumbo-jumbo to the ancient Chinese concept of qi (or chi or ki).   that they can manipulate your "life force" or aura with plastic disks filled with water and some protein.

for a while they were promoting it as nanotechnology, even though the disks could have easily been manufactured in the 1960s or 1970s.
