interesting...but thats a different topic for a different time

It's all part of why he should or should not be the nominee and the president.

I question the judgment of anyone who lets Al Sharpton in the door.

I can't stand sharpton and hope he eats a bag of dicks.

but

I think it's a GOOD move for Rand to meet with people of ALL perspectives.  Even if they're idiots - they are americans.  ;)

Presidents don't just serve non-idiots they agree with... they also serve disagreeable idiots.

ANd politically, if Rand is endorsed by Shapton, he gains millions of votes in many key areas.

Rand has made it a point to highlight the Drug Wars execution, arrests, and unequal sentencing for similar crimes.  But we know around here...thats just a myth. But that's one of the reasons he confers people outside of "The Bubble"

And this is why you should never talk politics with anyone in real life.

100% of the time, Marco Rubio sips water compulsively during state of union speeches.

Every time he gives the speech, he drinks water nonstop out of nervous anxiety.    He's no Joni Ernst.  Why are you wiggin'?

Shut up you lying troll.  ::)

Do you believe presidents should ONLY meet with people they agree with, who aren't idiots?

And they should only work to help make a better country for non-idiots who support them, right?  Lol, okay, Mr. Romney!

Look dude, a candidate that actually looks like he/she gives a shit about all americans will win the election.  This crap about "I refuse to meet with anyone I disagree with" means they only get the same 47% of voters.

Close-minded thinking, dude.

remember romney's famous 47% hidden camera speech?

Personally, I like when a leader meets with idiots, with enemies, with adversaries.  Learn them better.  Learn their point of view.  Learn to convert and/or defeat them.

A thousand battles, a thousand victories. - Sun Tzu
Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories.

Rand can learn more about defeating a future political adversary in Sharpton by meeting with him, than he can be reading about him on WIKI lol.

No, it's not the logical conclusion.

There are some people who have no business being involved in public policy, who should not be White House advisors, etc.  Al Sharpton is one of them.  Any company leader that lets him in the door should be fired.

It's that kind of groupthink close-mindedness that have given republicans 2 narrow wins in the last 6 POTUS election.

"You shouldn't meet with idiots or people you don't agree with or jerks or people that to lib shit".

One could argue a potential president could learn more about defeating or converting future enemies/adversaries by meeting them and learning how they tick, what they want, etc.  Aside from that, if you want to be president, you are going to represent all 300 million americans, not just the 120 million that are conservatives.  It's not "us against them".   It's "US against the WORLD" and the prez' job is to bring them together (at least it should be).  Bush actually did a decent job of it early on.  Shithead clinton did too.  Reagain did.

"I don't like a presidential potential because he met with someone I don't like"...

Silence troll.  It's people like you who voted for Obama that gave us Obama the last two elections.

So I probably will vote dem. i'd love to see Obama choose a Wes Clark for a running mate, or a Jim Webb, possibly more likely, for strong military and defense credibility.

My whole family - all Republicans - are voting Obama.  i'm driving them to the station later - buying everyone dinner - making it a real family event.
