Maybe not a extreme form of acromegaly but he obviously had some "special" hormone profile.
In the pics he is very young yet already has huge hands.

is it weird that I wonder how in the world this guy bowls?

NO ball has finger holes that big.

I dont like to bowl all the time, but I would be sad if I was never able to.

We need to start a custom bowling ball charity for this gentle giant.

He was very humble toward Brzenk. When interviewed, he stated our Brzenk was a hero and he tried to emulate him. A true sportsman, unlike other idiots in other sports (baseball, football, basketball, hockey.

Well for every armwrestler Brzenk is a hero. He was on top of the sport for his whole life since his teens basically. And armwrestling was a competetive sport in america before it came to Russia.

Agreed, but it does not mean he has to be humble towards him. Rarely will you see American sport players be a class act like Voevoda. He was very humble and quiet. Just seems like there is less of that among american athletes.

He re-started training for armwrestling since few months, probably coming back in 2015... He's vegan, since years, and as of now i don't know if he's juicing again, obviously he should if he wants to really compete again... Hard to say if he can regain his freaky monstrous peak of 2004/2007, competition today is really stacked...

Yeah, probably... Being vegetarian is one thing, makes absolutely no difference regarding strenght, muscle gains and so on, but a vegan diet lacks maybe too much, especially in a sport, armwrestling, where strenght is 60/70% of the entire game... Really hard for Voevoda, as of now, to came back at his unmatched level of the past, plus the competition today is full of huge technical beasts with both arms... He's an unique genetic freak, very very few like him, but he's been out from the game for too long...

According to Denis himself he doesn't have Acromegaly. He admitted to exogenous gh use but quit in late 2011, and he doesn't attribute the use of gh to how he looks. Said it was genetic.

Definitely doesn't have acromegaly.  For one, acromegaly is usually only seen in middle-aged adults.  Secondly, people with chronically high levels of GH don't have significant musculature--think of Andre the Giant. Thirdly, he was a beast even as a young teenager....if that was from hyperpituitarism the guy would have ended up 7' tall.

It's just genetics compounded with a good dose of PEDs and maybe some radioactive drinking water.
