what is your idea behind drinking distilled water?

Any water will do. But the distilled water is pure water with a neutral PH. Water is NOT mineral source. That's what veggies are for. Water should be a flush no 1, and hydrating secondly. Al advance human races drank distilled and the present human version, hybrids as they are should also drink distilled because the body was designed for distilled. It's a long story I will not go into here (genetics).
But use it for a long period of time along with organic balanced diet and you'll see what I mean. Bodybuilders should only drink distilled IMO.
Spring water is heavily contaminated with radon amongst other things and is greatly overrated. Again, what I preach goes against the "science" or even the "alternative" new age bullshit but I know what I know and that is human genetics and history. Nutrition starts after you understand this race's genetic make up.
