Why do supplements need a warning

Supplements and diets always have a warning, so do exercise programs that you should consult your doctor before starting them. How come you don't need to consult your doctor before getting fat on a steady diet of McDonalds and cigarettes?

It also gives some legitimasy to the product, like it is so strong and powerful that one can OD on it. Hence giving the illusion that it really works.

Hot Stuff, Cybergenics, DASH Stack were all potent supplements that indeed needed a warning. Taking too much of those supps could have increased red blood cell count, liver values would go up and muscle mass would increase. If only GHB had a warning when being sold OTC.

STAY POSITIVE!!!!!!
