I talked to some of the African guys at my job and they all say some of the Senegalese wrestlers are some huge individuals, especially the Wolof Tribe

They're still wrestling with this idea.

Where do you work Mr Dub? Seems like quite an unusual topic to discuss.

What does lifting weights have to do with anything? The guy was probably more active then 99% of the world's population. Being active (with good genetics) creates a body like this.

He would look like Carl Winslow if he sat on a couch in America.

There was a BBC programme called Last Man Standing in which a group of differing athletes would compete against tribes around the world in their traditional sports. One focused on Senegalese wrestlers.
An American strongman got his ass handed to him by some big Senegalese powerhouse (0:08) :D:

For the record though, I doubt the guy in the original photo doesn't lift weights and is totally untrained. Basic weight training is pretty popular in Africa, even in the rural areas.

Right, you have to believe that they are doing some kind of resistance training. Even bodyweight stuff and lifting objects. Even in the video you posted the wrestler lifts up a heavy, fully grown man and slams him. If that formed the basis of your training you would surely get big and strong, especially with those genetics.

push ups and other bodyweight exercises along with their diet can give a similar look. Along with the constant movement of throwing and working against an opponent.
One thing you can also see is that he has that "thick skin" look that Nigerian Vic Richards had/has. And so did John Sherman as well.

Do they really do pushups in Africa?

The best genetics I've seen were from this Nigerian guy at my gym. He was an accountant but seemed like a sincere guy. Trained arms every day and never lifted heavy. A protein shake post workout was the only supplement he took. The rest of his diet was tinned tuna and his traditional foods.
This guy looked insane! Paper thin skin, vascular and full, low body fat, tiny waist and thick chest/arms. Never trained legs because he played five a side football (soccer) but started after I told him the benefits of squats. He looked like he could walk on stage any minute.
This guy I'm sure was natural.  I doubt that even on grams of gear I would have matched the sheer quality of his build.
Some of these West African guys are just crazy. So many with the potential to suppress even Ronnie and Wheeler if they ever decided to get serious.

He may never have lifted a weight, but let's not pretend that he doesn't get a lot of exercise. He probably climbs trees and runs after his food. He's gotta catch his woman and build a hut before sundown, Bwana.

Holy shit was that some unintentional racism. I going to report my own post.

I lived in the western province of Zambia. I saw this tribe living along the Zambesi river. Diet mainly fish and "nshima" (some sort of cornmeal pudding). Some young men had incredible builds, lean and muscular.

Cleanest Natural has twink genetics.  It's unfathomable to him that someone can be naturally built.
