France's National Front Leader demands 'No Pork Alternatives in Schools'

France's Front Nationale (National Front) leader Marine Le Pen has urged that French schools should no longer present a religious food option, claiming that "there is no reason for religion to enter into the public sphere."

Le Pen's remarks to RTL radio came after her right-wing populist party made significant gains at France's local elections last month.
The Telegraph reports:

School canteens will no longer offer non-pork meal options in towns where France's anti-immigration far-right Front National (FN) party won local elections, its leader Marine Le Pen has said.

Mrs Le Pen reignited debate on a sensitive issue about the substitution meals targeting mainly Muslim and Jewish pupils for whom pork is taboo.

"We will accept no religious requirements in the school lunch menus," Mrs Le Pen told RTL radio. "There is no reason for religion to enter into the public sphere."

She defended the decision saying it was necessary to "save secularism".

The FN, skilfully rebranded as more than just an anti-immigrant party, won control of 11 towns and more than 1,400 municipal seats nationwide in recent local elections, easily its best ever performance at the grassroots level of French government.

Between these political parties in Europe and Vladamir Putin the globalists must be having an epic meltdown.

Marine Le Pen's party is often charged with being hostile and discriminatory towards Muslims and Jews. The latest move, reported in the global media as 'Eat pork or go hungry', will no doubt add to the fears.

I don't know why they always do that. They could do a lot more if they did it subtly.

I sense a storm coming. Pretty soon theyre going to start to responding in mknd to the muslim hordes and their political apologists and pathetic groveling cocksuckers.

The bloodshed will be epic. You let foreign invaders overrun your citizens, rape your women, and defile your culture and beliefs, and its only a matter of time until the bloodshed starts.

I agree with the sentiment of the newly elected officials 100%. Having been to France several times (my fathers entire side of the family lives there) and witnessing the multicultural hell hole Europe has become, I praise this change in policy.

When you immigrate to a new land, the new land should not accommodate you at all-- especially if your family has been living there for multiple generations.  If you have an issue with pork, don't eat the food. Simple as that. Bring your own food or shut the fuck up.

I have a problem with turds from third world hell holes being around me or next to my children. Yet, I recognize that America has laws which protect undesirable people from being beaten to death at my whim. So I accept reality, stay away from people that I find disgusting and send my kids to a private school.

If they don't like the Pork policy, they can go back to whatever cockroach infested shithole they came from-- or go to a Madrassa or jewish school or whatever else.

No more accommodation.

Beautiful post^

Brought a tear to my eye

It absolutely boggles my mind that people will so easily accept the idea of multiculturalism as if any good could come of other primitive and violent cultures displacing your own.

Liberalism truly is a sick and inhumane ideology.

Anytime you take up residency in a foreign country you are obligated to follow their rules or you can leave.

...Unless you become an official citizen at which time you, like your fellow citizens, can petition for any change under the sun that you desire.  And that's as it should be.

I disagree.  You have to accept the established culture as you willingly immigrated there.  You do not have a right to demand your adopted country recognize your culture.  Dont go to a chinese restaurant and demand Italian food.

The disgusting blind xenophobic racists in Le Pens party who live in their ignorant little bubbles, and cheer on this decision would probably have a hissy fit, if school cafeterias stopped serving fish on Fridays. ::)

You don't see them immigrating to Pakistan and demanding Friday fish though.

ignore her. She likes to toss out xenophobic and raciet to try and stop the arguments.

you dont come into another country and demand they change their way of life to cater to y9ur beliefs.  You adapt yours to the host country.

im sure saudi arabia would be quick to let women hold positions of power and vote if you moved there and demanded it.

fuckers should just pack their kids lunch on pork day FFS.

And they have that right.  Its their country and culture.   I lived in Japan and I never expected the Japanese to cater to my wishes.

Le Pen is claiming schools should not cater to religious beliefs... well, if that's the case, they should have no problems with a ban on school cafeterias serving fish on Fridays no? That would be catering to Catholics no?.

I just think it's petty if you ask me.

France has been a predominantly Catholic country for centuries. It's their right to decide how they live.

It's anybodies right to decide how they live their lives, ...regardless of how long they have been in a country.
What I see happening here is rampant xenophobia. What's the big deal having an alternative to pork on the menu? ...especially when a high percentage of diners don't eat pork? No one is saying those who want to eat pork can't.
I just think it smacks of hypocrisy when you state there will be no religiously based menu options available,
...then you cater to Catholic religious habits. What's next? ...forbidding the circumcision of new born babies?  ::)

I appreciate your civility but in the USA your way of thinking hasn't been the norm, historically speaking -- Not too many of us live in tee-pees these days.

Also, I'd like to go along with your restaurant analogy but until recently I lived in Raleigh, NC where it's common to find Thai restaurants that serve (Japanese) sushi...

We dont live in tee pees because that isnt part of the established culture.  The united states is a unique case and what applies to the US doesnt necessarily apply to a historically monoculture like France.

Yes some restaurants have mixed cuisine but owners of the restaurant (native culture so to speak) have decided to do so on their own.  A customer didnt enter the restaurant and demand something not on the menu and expect it to be served to them.  Cultural assimilation is a natural thing but it must be on their terms.

I'm not sure I buy what you might be saying about American Indians not being an established culture but it is certainly different than modern French culture.  So what might fly in the USA (in the past or now) doesn't mean that should be how it goes in France.

Good point about the restaurants.
