I know I don't want pillow top because I need to flip the mattress due to my weight.  Last pillow top lasted 8 months before it became uncomfortable.    thoughts??

This princess bed looks pretty badass. From what I heard, Anabolichalo and Coleman cuddle in this princess bed.

Bedding experts is a great value. American mattress will be inexpensive but not great comfort wise, and back to bed has a tiny bit of a boutique feel and they are more expensive.
Costco had mattresses at one point and those were actually very good.

No matter what, wait for a sale!! Its a huge price difference

Real men don't sleep on beds. They sleep on bench presses and dream of the iron.

While I was picking up a new fridge I noticed quite a few discounted mattresses at my local Sears outlet store.

could fit 2 Mr O's side by side, and still have room for some throw pillows.

You can buy mattresses that aren't pillow top. They generally cost less. Comfort depends on a match between what you like and enough firmness to support your weight comfortably. If you want a foam top, you can buy a foam pad as an accessory (Costco carries them) and use it on either side of the mattress.
