BLAH BLAH BLAH. you're all just paying "fun with numbers" believing it advances your own argument about your religious worship of dudes in suits.
the charitable contribution deduction is considered a corporate subsidy. so are tax breaks for hiring American workers and manufacturing in American factories. are those bad?
for instance, Walmart gave away over $300,000,000 in cash and over $700,000,000 in products in 2012 to the needy. they also donated over 400,000,000 pounds of food to the needy in 2012.
should we tell them to stop? is that a bad thing?
are they greedy for doing this because they're getting a tax break for their charitable contribution deduction? they're still out the door receiving far less money than they are giving by receiving this "corporate subsidy".
basically anytime the government works with corporate America in order to influence their activities in a positive way they are creating a "corporate subsidy".
so i'm not quite sure where you're going with this. this is just a cute sign passed around facebook that says basically nothing except that the person who made it doesn't have the faintest clue about tax policy in the US nor does he care to know.
also "tax loopholes" is a term tossed around this board WAY WAY too lightly. tax drives policy and policy drives tax. if you don't want this, you are NOT a democrat. you are NOT a republican. you are a hard line conservative bordering on anarchist.
so please don't bitch about corporate subsidies on here and then go out and vote this next election for a democrat or republican. because if you do, you are an idiot who doesn't understand his own arguments.
rant over.
