John Williams is brilliant. Classical guitar with superb presence and technique.

Cool vid. Looks like he has skills. Props bigmc .. bigger bicepes than wolfcock  ;D

The guitar strings are thicker than wolfox's arms.

The guitar strings are thicker than wolfox's arms.

Wolfox's body is the shape of a guitar, the guitar neck corresponding to his back and the guitar body his hips

Nice Dyslexic, so many people can shred, But tone and feeling that's what I love.

i think of the countless hours I spent learning vinnie moore solos note for note.

good stuff, but in 'real life' gigging, it's about learning songs pretty much like the record, being able to sing lead and good harmonies on the fly, and looking as young as possible.

pulling out that shredder stuff from time to time is awesome... but shrill tone and 200 notes per second doesn't do much in real life $ working situations.

I'm all for Paul Gilbert (the early untochable shredder with Racer X and Mr. Big until Vibrato, didn't like it that much) and Shawn Lane (R.I.P.), string skipping, alternate picking, inhuman technique and speed with good songs it's my thing... Played guitar for a year or so, then left for drumming...

Yes indeed, to whom you can add Christopher Parkening.  Observe the fingering:

Laurindo Almeida, (love the truths told by the presenter)

Leo Kottke is amazing on the 12 string guitar.

Pretty cool - love the chunky rhythm and full sound. He makes it look so easy.

I've been getting a lot of PM's ~ seems there are many Eddie Van Halen fans here.

For those of you that would like to add to your Van Halen listening experience, get on Ebay, pick up this awesome book up for next to nuthin' and crank the toonage. Hell, have a little toke if your little heart desires.

I know this is (basically) a bodybuilding/fuck off board, but a lot of you guys are cool-ass motherfuckers. Meet you in person and we'd prolly be best friends.

Anyway, check this book out, soon to be a collectors issue. A lot of previously unpublished pic. No autobiography crap...at least not like those idiots that write one and leave out all teh good shit ~

Peace, keep teh PM's comin'~ I don't give a rat's ass.

FOR THE EARLY MTV GEN,there was 3 classic 'fair warning'live songs from Pasadena show 'so this love/here about it later/unchained closed the show, they were in the mtv rotation steady but as a kid to see it you have to go through many cycles of bad videos lol,,,anyway evh plays his ass off during these vid's and the stage was massive and they were only 4 albums in and were already one of the biggest bands going..

Not here, no intention to derail at all, but I wish the Gb drummers would post similar videos.

Fantastic thread, keep 'em coming, dyslexic, bigmc, etc.
