Sure, I can respect that.... my thinking is, I know that no amount of effort will keep me from shrinking off the juice so I just do some basic compound exercises with 1-2 plates and 40 minutes cardio. Keeps me from getting fat. Then when I'm back on, I feel fresh and excited to hit the weights again.
Diff'rent strokes
That's exactly what I do when off. I did hardcore cardio when I was off for over a year and I didn't realize how steady it was even after I got back on.
My fucking dog was off leash and got lost in the forest last week so I ended up hiking over 25km looking for her. But I barely broke a sweat. Two fucking cougars stalked me me and I didn't have a flashlight for a few hours too, just a hammer in case one attacked. The whole time I was thinking "holy fuck, my cardio is awesome". My feet blistered up badly and someone found our dog, but I couldn't believe I did that distance and still had energy.
Off-cycle focus = cardio all the way.
