Love the classic American tin freighters.
I like them though I think that German cars are superior.

I love the old generation of American muscle cars. Buick Riviera, Dodge Charger, '69 Pontiac GTO, Mustang Fastback to name a few. Something about them just says "totally unpractical and unnecessary? F*ck you".

But as far as supercars and everyday vehicles go, European cars wipe the floor with the Americans ones. European engineering is far superior.

However Japanese engineering trumps all. Engines that literally run forever and never act up. Even their supercars run like clockwork.

I think your making a huge mistake. The Ford Escort is in the top ten best selling cars of all time selling more than 20 MILLION units.  This point out your ignorance to the automotive industry.

The Cavalier sold well also
268,587 - 1983
462,611 - 1984
383,752 - 1985
432,101 - 1986
346,254 - 1987
322,939 - 1988
376,626 - 1989
310,501 - 1990
326,847 - 1991
225,633 - 1992
251,590 - 1993
254,426 - 1994
151,669 - 1995
261,686 - 1996
315,136 - 1997
238,861 - 1998

Man, I'm just trolling.  My point is that most of the cars you mentioned are north of 100K and 200K.  That's less than 1 percent of the total automotive market.  Ferrari makes some of the most beautiful cars in the world, but they will only sell 3000 units this year.

Two of the three American auto companies went bankrupt in the last five years.  They all need to focus on what customer are actually buying in volume.  I don't care that GM doesn't make a Ferrari fighter, but I do care that the Camry is outselling the Malibu by a wide margin.

In the 1960's GM had 50 percent of the US auto market and probably the highest market cap of any company in America.  They were the equivalent of Apple today.  The fact that they have fallen so far is a disgrace.  Unfortunately, the current management seems no better than the last.

Easy there.  Allow me.  Any 70s era Fiat.     ;D  America makes some excellent cars and so does Europe.

Yeah but the Ford we get in Europe are European cars. They are designed and built in Germany. Plus, more and more Ford is using it's European models as the basis for their global models.
