2014 = 2004

Read an interview with Bob Holly...made a great comparison

Guys that were featured and or on top

2004 - Orton, Cena, Batista, Big Show, Mark Henry, Kane, Rey Mysterio, Brock

2014 - Orton, Batista, Big Show, Kane, Mark Henry, Mysterio (although very limited still gets pops), Brock

So over 10 yrs, the only true stars they built that were/are on top - Daniel Bryan and Punk (now gone)

WWE has one of the best crops of talent now, Shield, Bray Wyatt, Cesaro and the upcoming NXT guys.......let's not f it up

Don't forget about Triple H. Evolution are back and in the main event spot. Ive never seen two consistent main eventers in the history of pro wrestling who had less of a connection with the fans yet still keep their spot than Orton and Batista. HHH did have some good runs and matches as a heel from 1999 to 2002 but after that he just became boring and his backstage politics kept him on top.

NOPE! Once Orton beat him for the World title at SummerSlam, Benoit's stock plunged.

In fact, the emphasis went from him on Raw to JBL on Smackdown as far as being the breakout star of 2004 was concerned.
