I grew up in Akron, OH. Learned to keep your head down, lift weights early, learn to run fast. Get smart, cause people up there are wiser and competitive. Learn when to back down, stay in decent sized crowds, take as much karate/wrestling as you can when you're young.

Then I grew up in trailer parks of Florida. Learned to carry a gun, and don't leave anything good on your porch or tell other kids what good stuff you have in your house. learned nobody ever gives a shit about being on time, for anything. Just show up when you want and don't explain why you made the other person wait for 20 minutes. And yes, you can wear jean shorts for just about any business meeting.

OH made me paranoid. FL made me annoyed.

i grew up in a small town of 900 people. All everyone did was drink and drive 4x4s. I hated it and carried that hate for years. I never go back, ever. It made me probably more bitter than i should have been.

grandma died in 92. Left mom $10k. Dad had enough debt & secret families & enemies up north, they had vacationed once in FL and liked it... so he just up and moved us.

i shunned my first friends at age 9 he was a smart kid with hippy parents zephry mays, a great kid operated ham radio, just got tired of him coming over wanting to hang out he was like 12
after id have a friend down the street. i didnt like my child hood at all , alls i can remember is how i hated school. eventually came highschool and i just dominated everyone physically, i felt it was my reward for dealing with such a lame childhood

I grew up in the Mountains of Austria ! Hard work and lots of skiing. Walk to the school bus every morning for 1and half hours ! It really sucked. Left at 19 for L.A. Spend the last 30 years in Venice. Influenced? I don't feel pity for whiny bitchy little excuses!! If you are not happy with something ,change it! Its really easy..The End

I grew up in Queens, New York City (Born and raised. EAST SIDE!!

). I grew up in one part of queens from 0-13 years of age, then moved to another area of Queens for the remainder of my life. I really miss my original neighborhood and really yearn for those years. It was the best time of my life. Growing up in Queens influenced me in more ways than I can even imagine or put into words.

FL is decent. I'm used to the weather, everyone I know is here. I think I'll stay. My brother is up in OH and says it's just a toilet these days. I don't know what the perfect state to live in would be.

Born in Cairo, Egypt... Lived there until I was 11 Years old

Moved to London, England.... lived there for two years...

Moved to the Washington DC area and lived there for 10 years.

Experienced many different cultures, and met a lot of great people. Still keep in touch with friends from all those different countries. Always consider Washington DC my home though!
