What did he really say on this tape?

He just doesn't want his whore to broadcast that she associates with blacks.

I think he's a racist and a scumbag but based on the reaction you would think he murdered a bus full of schoolkids.

Out of proportion.

He is... no doubt, but he never even dropped the N bomb... So while he is most certainly a racist, I'm in agreement that some people are way to happy to see "whitey" go down.

This guy Sterling supposedly taped almost every phone call he's had over the past decade. Imagine the stuff he has on other owners, David Stern and this new Silver guy(who's worked with Stern for years)...The problem is that it doesn't look like he's has an outlet if he wanted to drop a bomb on the NBA. The way the Hierarchy media stacked up against him and at the speed they did it, he must be thinking that if he did blow the roof off the NBA and it's WWE phony refs, he and his family for sure would be in jeopardy...He's kind of in a lose lose situation. He almost has to take whatever money they are offering and just disappear it seems. Looks like the NBA stacked the deck against him to do anything but just disappear.

My question is... They banned him. Why pay the fine?  What are they gonna do, kick him out again?

If I get a parking authority ticket from a college I do not attend, why would I pay it?

you're not equipped for this, tree-hugger. business is not something you're versed in, just tap out.

I've owned businesses, managed businesses, and invested in businesses. Clippers ain't a public company, I assume sterling owns a controlling share, if not 100%. you can't force a man to sell his business. if he were CEO, the board of directors could vote on terminating him, but he's not elected (hired). it's like forcing Sergey and the other guy to sell Google.com..... you can't do it. Sure, you can fire Eric Schmidt (although I believe he's stepped down already... beside the point), but you can't force Sergey and other guy (the owners) to sell.... the same way you can't force zuckerberg to sell his interest in Facebook..... the same way Annaly Capital can't force me to sell my shares because of something other shareholders see me posting on Getbig. that's not how it works kid.

There are clauses in the collective-bargaining agreement that account for this.  Sure, he could maybe keep the Clippers but they wouldn't be allowed to participate in the NBA

You have to love all the false outrage directed at the likes of Sterling, or a Paula Deen, or Rush Limbaugh.  It is a tired old trope that plays out the same every time.  Rich white person says something offensive and insensitive toward blacks, the rich black millionaires and liberal white millionaires and the entire main stream media markets always have something to say..........while they remain rich and keep their names floating around in the media at all hours of the day.

No outrage at all at the violent crime rates perpetrated by blacks, drop out rates, joblessness, overrepresentation within the criminal justice system, poverty, etc....

Keeping blacks destitute and ignorant keeps these athletes, actors, rappers, entertainers, and "pastors" raking in the millions and their name plastered all over tv, the internet, and in magazines.  All it takes to keep the stupid masses happy is to throw the occasional rich white person under the bus every other year or so.

And of course, the media is mum on Sterlin's Jewishness and political affiliation.

All of that would make a sweet bedtime story if you could find a woman willing to start a family with you. But then they realize you're a psychotic murderer and they change their number.

what he said was the truth and the truth is dangerous to business, you have to be an hypocrite to survive. Still i doubt he cares, he s still a billionaire and will still bang mixed whores as much as he wants. Somehow hearing the truth once in a while is refreshing i thank him for that. You can be sure all the nba execs think the same . It s a business and when you endanger the business you are a danger. You really think adam silver loves black people and the ghetto rapper culture lol. Plz. Money.

Now if THAT is true then this could get EXTREMELY interesting.

What would stop him from leaking those same conversations to the press just like his girlfriend did.

Some of these franchise owners that's been around 30 or 40 years...you just don't want to mess with them.

The Al Davis', Jerry Jones, Heinz Family, Donald Sterling type owners. People like that have been around a LONG time and likely have a ton of shit on all types of people.

It's a real dog fight when you lay into owners who have been around that long.

This is ridiuculous... so the guy is a racist 80 year old white guy.. Thats to be expected, considering he is 80 fucking years old. You can dislike him for that, but you cant fine him and you certainly cant try to make him sell his property. This is stupid.

If the advertisers and investors etc want to boycott his team then let them and if he has to relinquish ownership as a result of the political correctness bandwagon, Thats fine too but the NBA cant step in and demand anything from him.......well except he's an employee or sub-contractor in which case yikes!!!

Question: are owners of sports teams beholden to the sports commission the same way the players are? I dont think so but I might be wrong here.

--  A Place Called Home -- a program for high-risk teens -- got a $100,000 donation from Sterling, doled out in $10K yearly installments.  The charity has received $30K, which it will NOT return, but it is REJECTING the $70K balance.

-- Goodwill of So. Cal. -- It got a $100,000 donation from Sterling, doled out over 10 years.  It has received $20K so far and it's giving all the money back and not accepting the balance.

-- American Diabetes Ass'n -- Sterling donated $25K.  It's keeping the loot, telling us, "The sad reality is that without donations like Mr. Sterling's, we can't help the people that we do."

As we previously reported ... Sterling pledged $3 MIL to UCLA for kidney research with $425K up front.  The school is returning the $425K and refusing to accept the rest.

You have a guy who routinely gives millions and millions of dollars to help people for all kinds of different causes and now that is ending because feelings got hurt.  Its pathetic really.

So I take it as you condone what Sterling said? He's worth $1.9bill. You act as though he writes these checks himself. FYI, he sent a memo out to all of his property managers to not rent to black people.

I think you should be able to not rent to whomever you want for whatever reason you want and I found nothing wrong with anything he said.

I always knew you were a liberal crybaby and you show it more and more each day.  :D
