Sounds like what Square-Enix did with the Final Fantasy videogame series. They used to release one game every few years and it was a big event.

Then they started churning out side-story games and even movies which I think just cheapened the brand.

With JJ Abrams at the helm I expect very, very good things.

In all honesty I bet this sequel trilogy is better than the original trilogy.

JJ did such a great job with the new Star Trek films (that I really like) and is such a huge Star Wars nerd from the very beginning I think he'll deliver something great! This will not be another Phantom Menace situation...no, no, no....reassured this will deliver like Empire did!

I was never a huge Star Trek fan. Watched the original series in reruns, but then loved the Next Generation! Then I saw all the big movies they made and I enjoyed most of those. When JJ made the new films I was blown away.....some of the sequences are killer!!

That's why I have high, high hopes for Star Wars....finally we have a fanboy who's the perfect age at the helm and knows exactly what the nerds want! I think it's gonna be beautiful when the first film comes out.

Not to worry, Disney isn't making the movie; Lucasfilm is. It'll be violent enough.
