I bought it on iTunes yesterday, started watching it, stop after 20 mins. It was better the first time at the movies.

It took you 20 minutes to realize this was made for 8-12 year olds.

Prequel, prequel, prequel...

i never saw why people didnt like 1-3. jar jar sucked yes but other than that they were good films imo. 5 is probably my least favorite of all SW films. literally fast fwd'd thru half of it one time. 4 was perfect. 6 was alrite. SW is great but i feel like the actual films arent as good as what the universe ended up expanding into wit all the books and stuff.

I'm not saying you are "wrong", everyone's entitled to their opinion, but this is the polar opposite of what most people think of Star Wars.

5 is widely regarded as the best one and I agree with it.

One may assume Lucas wanted to release I, II and III first (before VII, VIII and IX)... and he didn't feel the technology was there to make them justice back in the 80s, thus the long wait.

Yes, though even if they did the prequels, perhaps they would have at least been directed by top directors at the time.

And seeing Leia and Han Solo, now so old and remembering how they looked in the movies I loved, just made me sad.

It would have been great to see them all continue the series in their prime.

Gotta love the Bounty Hunter-crew Vader sends out.

Definitely a good way to get youngsters buy the actionfigures back when it was released.

Not a young Leia  :'(

Lots of cool stuff seen from trailer though, but I agree with the whole PC female lead BS.

Imperial Royal Guard supposedly only travel with Emperor Palpatine.
And guy in hood kneels in the same manner that Vader kneels in ESB Ep. 5

The folks in Rogue One is the Team that got the blueprints for the Deathstar, enabling it's destruction in Episode 6.

So chronologically that movie is between ep 5 and 6.

Leia is already grown during this event. She hadn't been captured by Jabba yet though i believe.

Both Vader and Emperor Palpatine are in their prime during Rogue One, iRogue One is about the crew that enabled toe destruction of the Episode 6 DeathStar.

Rouge One should end when Leia is hiding the plans in R2D2 from Darth Vader

You are correct Yam!

Rogue One is set shortly before the events in Ep 4.

It's their plans they managed to get that Leia sends with R2-BLAHA!

From what I've heard, there is supposed to be an extremely gruesome scene where Vader goes apeshit and decapitates a rebel, uses his body as a human shield, and force chokes/throws bitches

There seem to be less alien species as well.  :'(

In the entire fucking universe, there seem to be a lot of good-looking women with English accents.

It took me some reddit browsing before i got that it isn't part VIII, but a standalone movie and VIII scheduled for December 2017. This shit is confusing.

No, Rogue One is scheduled this December, VIII is still coming out in 2017.
