Embiid has a bad back though, stress fracture of some sort. Very strange injury.

Kansas never really disclosed the severity of it, kept saying "he's just resting, will be back soon/business trip" etc., probably to avoid hurting his draft stock. But he hardly played in the last third of the year or so.

Wiggins isn't LeBron but he can be an all-star caliber franchise-making player. Silly for whoever is #1 to not take him imho.

They were favored today by a few points I think. I would expect a similar line next game.

Heat had a shitty defensive game, Bosch missed all but one 3. They will adjust for next game. They play great from behind when there is a sense of urgency. Lebron always comes back with a vengeance after games like this.

to many 3's from james and bosh, no need for that, james needs to keep driving in the paint and get hibbert in foul trouble.
Bosh missed all his 3 point attempts. LEbron made one of 5. Im sure Indiana grabbed the missed shots too.

Lebron and Wade know they have a fixed amount of insane drives to the hoop in them until wade's knee goes or lebron gets that first catastrophic injury that'll turn him into a post up player.

at some point in the game, they assessed the situation and 'gave up' the game. They stopped driving to the hoop, no sense risking injuries and wasting that X amount of drives they have in their legs. Use the game as a jump shooting practice, play token defense, let the scrubs play more minutes than usual, and if you get within 9 in the 4th, you kick it in. If not, hey, you concede the game and play soft, save your gas for game 2.

heat have done this all year.

Bosch killed them this game. Usually when Bosch is hitting his shots it forces Hibbert out of the paint so Lebron and Wade can drive. Chalmers also had a shit game.

Wade is going to get a major payday next year. With his declining skill set (and divorce), there's NO WAY he passes up on it.

Indiana has an emtional advantage here. They're the batshit crazy ex-girlfriend trying to prove they can suck a mean D, in order to win their man back. They're just as likely to use tears for lube, as they are to just bite the dude. Pacers are capable of winning or capable of being terrible - this series is gonna be a mess.
