I think this year, under the same situation, someone else will take that shot. I least I hope so. But I think Lebron's focus is dead to rights right now. For him to win a 3rd ring before age 30 would be something Jordan never did.

I mean being up by 5 points in game 6 with about 28 seconds to play, then losing the game, and the series.

Whoa, slow down brah.  Jordan didn't leave Chicago to form a super team with two other all star starter, first option, max salary stars all in the prime of their careers.  Jordan toughed it out with what he had(which wasn't much) and the team organically grew around him until they got over the hump and became champions.    

Lebron is a great player and I hate, hate, hate devaluing one guy's rings in relationship to someone else's but in this case how can you not?  Lebron, Wade and Bosh basically conspired to stack the odds in their favor.  They should win a bunch of titles after doing that.  That is the definition of ring chasing.

Jordan didn't win all by himself.  Pippen was special on the defensive end of the floor.  Grant was a solid defender and rebounder.  He is comparable to a guy like Haslem.  Later Rodman was a great player but he was a rebounding and defensive specialist.  Paxon and Kerr could hit open threes.  MJ was the initiator though.  He was the one who broke down the defense with penetration, drew double teams, etc.  Everything ran through him.

Lebron, Wade and Bosh are all young athletic guys who can dominate on both ends of the floor.  They are all three number one option, franchise players.  Then you add Ray fucking Allen, arguable the greatest shooter in NBA history.  Lol.  With respect, how is that equivalent to what MJ was working with?  I'm not saying we should disregard the Heat's titles but it's not really comparing apples to apples.

And they had a great coach in Phil Jackson with the triangle offense. He was great at harnessing all those egos(Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, even Grant). Harper was perfect playing at the point position in the Triangle. When Harper was a younger player he was a lot like Jordan and Pippen, athletically. Go to youtube to seesome of his slam dunks. As he got older and slowed down, Jackson was still able to showcase Harper's value as a point forward and defender against other team's 1's and 2's and even 3's. Harper wasn't a dummy. You had to have a pretty good basketball IQ to run that offense.

It's been said over and over again but here we go.....Jordan's Bulls would smoke Lebron's Heat, especially the first three peat team between 1991-1993. The Heat wouldn't be able to handle Jordan, Pippen and Grant's athleticism and offense/defense on both ends of the floor.

Ron harper was a great veteran to have on the team, i think he was with shaq and kobe too.

Forget the past, lets talk about now, I would like spurs to win. If heat Win, then i think they will blow the team up, I dont see what the motivation is for the next season.

To win a 4th consecutive championship and beyond, maybe? I don't see why Lebron, Wade, and Bosh wouldn't take less $$$ to keep the big 3 together and keep winning. Lebron will be in his prime for another 3 years. Bosh is still playing great and Wade, along as he is healthy, is still a top 10 player in the league. Plus, there is a lot of money coming off the books next offseason. No more Haslem, Oden, Lewis, birdman, Chalmers, Battier, and Allen. They can acquire mid level veterans to fill the gaps without going over the luxury tax.

Why would they want to leave South Beach when every player in the NBA would love to play there while the team is winning?

I agree Jordan didn't win it all by himself.  You said he toughed it out in Chicago.  I don't think that's really accurate, because he had Hall of Fame teammates, very good role players, and arguably the greatest coach in NBA history.  It's not like he was Kobe leading Kwame Brown, Odom, Walton, and Smush Parker to the playoffs.  He was surrounded by a lot of talent.

Agree.  I remember Jordan saying he would refuse to play without Harper.  And Harper helped the Lakers win two championships.

knicks are just horrible, JR Smith and Carmelo are enough to make you want to throw up.

I think Phil can help mold him.  Didn't want him as head coach of the Lakers due to lack of experience. 

I'm think Scott is the leader at this point.  Had a second interview.  I'd be ok with him.
