Yes. And I would’ve had more. Not any before the ones I have but I would’ve kept going.

Yes.

Do you not regret having to work harder and longer to cover the expenses? Or are you so rich that it's just a drop in the bucket? Or is the cost of raising children overblown by attention seeking narcissists? This is my main concern about it all.

I make good money and can take care of my kids. I could afford more but my wife and I decided against it because we were older.

So do you or don't you have to work longer as a result of having children? And if you do, do you have any regrets? Sorry to insist on this question, but that's all I want to know. Theoretically if you're a multimillionaire you don't have to work longer as a result so it would be a non issue.

Does a new car cost you money? Yes children have a financial cost, a spouse/significant other has financial considerations, so do pets. Your finances change with children.

Do you work harder to pay for your internet connection to post here?

Dave’s answer nailed it; so short sighted to not pay a little.

Cheap people have one kid, not none usually.

By the time many have one they decide to have another because they realize their is limited to do so.

More important than money you need a good woman to take care of those kids.

I prefer "working smart" to "working hard".

Do you have to work harder because you have kids?

As compared to what?  You have to work hard regardless of whether you have kids or not.

Where do you get ahead by not working harder and smarter?

My kids have done great things I would never have wanted to miss.

Not everyone is fit to be a parent & sadly some parents are not fit to be parents
however we all will age & your partner might sadly pass before you.
Living alone as a sad lonely man is not a good way to go....

You don’t: but once you have children you can’t imagine life without them. Not everyone should be a parent and that’s okay. We have thread about Hankins parenting skills. A guy like that is never happy, I’m sure he loves his son to the best of his ability but it’s debatable if he’s a good father.

If you have kids love them.

You are assuming your kids will want to be around you when you die. They could live far away or not even give a shit.

But they do give a shit, so your answer is only hypothetical  :)

Are you dying now?
I don´t know because i have 2 heart stents in a very dangerous place, responsible for 2/3 of my heart
I could go to bed now & snuff it ..so i can´t say
If i do go ..well at least i know i´ve had a good life & sowed my seed
I did a fitness test at my Cardiologist & it came out the same result as if i never had a heart attack...due to my daily cycling.
I am not against not having children but as i wrote it´s a nice feeling to have a family around you.
just my thoughts on the subject

I am referring specifically to someone who is literally asking if they have to work more if they have kids.

To this audience.

Under a gimmick.

That person should probably not have them.
