Ben Affleck is a great actor and I am sure he will do great as batman not sure why so many people are hating on him.

Are they ever going to use a non-Hollywood star male actor for this role?

Seems they only give it to A-listers. Bale, Clooney, Kilmer, Affleck. Kind of predictable. Boring.

To be Fair while Bale was a respected and successful  actor he was not really an A Lister before batman begins came out, I agree with you about the others.

Indeed, but not his best stuff. Batman's Dirty Harry angry whisper is a little hammy. The movies themselves (excluding Rises) were great despite Bale, I'd argue.

As Batman, anyway. He's fine as Bruce.

Being fair to (actor) Affleck, he can do Boston, which, I'm sure, comes naturally. Great in both Good Will and The Town. But he sucks in everything else, even Boiler Room, where he's simply aping Baldwin's GGR monologue. And poorly, I'll add. For some reason, though, he gets praise for this role.

But dude can direct, no question.
