Oh Canada!
« on: May 17, 2014, 07:31:36 PM »
I am Quebec City with my wife for a few days. I am posting this from the Chateau Frontenac. A couple of questions:

Does getbig have any restaurant recommendations?

Why are there so many Tim Horton restaurants on the highways in Quebec? Is he like the Prime Minister or something?

Approach a Canadian local.  Avoid large and sudden movements and speak in an even tone.

"Hello.  I am from America.  The ways of your people are new and strange to me.  I require food and a place in which to eat it.  What is your custom, friend?"

quebec isn't canada. it's quebec. the rest of canada sucks. just be glad you're in quebec where the hookers are well priced and will blow you nice. avoid tim's.

Been years, but I remember there were some nice restaurants in the old part of Quebec City. A bit pricey, but the ambiance was aces, and easily walk-able.

Yah, it's quite nice. We are staying in the old city and had a nice dinner at Bistro de Sous Forts last night. That said, most of the restaurants seem to have the same menu: filet mignon, salmon, veal, some pasta, some salads, etc. Something different would be nice.

That said, a good bottle of wine and the company of my wife goes a long way.

Ok! I passed that place today! Took a long look at it too. That's the place with nothing but rabbit on the menu?

Tim's is a conglomerate of white trash and ppl on disability , stay away. And seeing as how Quebec is largely controlled by 'Italian' folk, there are tons of good eateries , you just have to know where to look. And good luck with the french whoore!
