So I was on the phone with my dad  trying to explain to him that getting a woman's number these days means very little, because
1. there are so many desperate men out there that women think they are hotter than they are
2. women are more concerned with weeding out men than choosing men due to there unlimited options  (tinder,dating appointments, POF etc)

He  was telling me how back in the day getting a girl's number meant she had pretty much made up her mind to fuck you and how it was the "holy grail". For the most part  Getting a girl's number was a pretty big deal.

Im envious of you guys 40 plus...I just don't see how on average the chicks weren't way hotter back then. girls actually played sports during the summer and went outside, instead of sitting on their ass eating nachos updating their instagrams.  

On a side note...My advice for any guy  who's financially comfortable in his thirties, who is  lacking a hot white  woman in his life  is to check out  taking a vacation to charleston, south carolina.  Hit up downtown area on a weekend. I wouldn't recommend it for any guy in his early twenties who's not in college (it was a bit too slow for me) but  your chances of getting an attractive white female are a billion times better then living in new york or los angeles. moment I get my life together that's where Im headed back to.

I think that girls can tell if your interested in them or not. As in want to get to know them just by how often and what type of texts you send them. to be honest I just don't have it in me to go playing those  games for a week trying to get her comfortable enough to meet me in person. sometimes chicks will want to talk to you 2 weeks before they really get comfortable with you but its just not worth it imo.

I meant with girls silly, don't you think "talking" to a girl on the phone these days is so outdated, 90% of the time I am on WhatsApp or on BBM, or Skype etc.

I think with just talking you miss out on the whole multimedia experience with pics and vids and stuff and less room to flirt.

Like a chick might WhatsApp me saying "what you doing babe" and i'll be like "30 kilo dumbbell curls" and send her pic of a bicep shot from gym and then she be like sending me a little smiley face or thumbs up with a pic of her doing something generally sluttish to reciprocate etc, just adds spice to the whole thing.

Yes for the most part if you have an up to date smart phone. FaceTime is great but can be a little bit intrusive as well depending on how well you know the person.

Weirdly enough Facetime is banned/illegal in some countries including Dubai.

I wanted to buy an Apple laptop there because its tax free and most electronic devices are around 30% cheaper than here in the UK, but I didn't buy it because the FaceTime features are disabled on all electronic devices.
