flex was great.. was my fav bber for a long time when I started, even before I started training (followed bbing since I was 7yrs old going to the gym and reading mags waiting in the lobby while my mom worked out), but 20yrs later, if you take away flex's arms, he's a thin bber. good abs and good back detail that drew your eyes to the center of the body and away from the fact he wasn't thick or dense at all. he knew how to pose to hide his weaknesses.
the epitome of 'bodybuilding' has to be Ronnie coleman... especially the physique he presented at the 2003 Mr O. I doubt we'll ever see something like that again.
if coleman has 1 in a billion genetics, and there's 6 billion ppl on earth, there's likely 5 more ppl on earth with Ronnie colemans genetics, and I doubt any of then even workout let alone compete in bbing shows.
