That first most muscular photo is new for me, had my doubts, but could be him? He was seldom photographed in that pose?

The pic of him sitting down during a session is just freaky, he had both the right amount of mass and cuts.

One of these videos of Nubret, shows him flexing his abs and they separate apart down the middle.  Wild.

WHO in their right mind would want to look like an offseason bber?!

like its just ridiculous.

guys like nubret and zane were BODYBUILDING.

todays guys look like shit. plain and simple. abominations led to overdevelop themselves by a cult mainly controlled and followed by the gay community, more specifically muscle worshippers, cause let me tell you guys- bodybuilding today isnt for women, its for other men, and thats fucked up..

Bodybuilding is not for gay men nor women and it was never for either really. It's a sport and the nature of sport dictates constant advancement. Bodybuilding is about max muscle max definition good balance etc PERIOD. Advancements in chemistry have allowed hard work to be bypassed in favor of faster results via drugs and food. This could also be looked at as a matter of efficiency. However you see it be it good or bad it is still advancement all the same. Just because it is not to your liking doesn't mean it is not advancement. What would you like judges to do give titles to worse bbers because one looks like he trains harder or uses less drugs? That's preposterous and if you are any fan of the sport you realize this.

I'd place him slightly above Shizzo but not to the level of Jason Genova
Shizzo< Serge < Genova

Good question...but I'd say Frank.

Who wins: King Shizzo or Alex23?  Keep in mind that Alex23 is 250-lb of mass at 5'10".

As for Serge Nubret, do you remember this, from Pumping Iron?:

Serge: "Looks like I can take you."
Arnold: "Keep looking."

Are you Alex23?  I'm not getting a clear answer on that.

He carried a lot of size on his 5'10" frame.

Bodybuilding is a sport just the same as the Miss Universe pageant is.

Bodybuilding yes COMPETITIVE PROFESSIONAL bodybuilders are athletes as competitive bodybuilding is an athletic endeavor. It requires weight training and strict dieting. Bodybuilders actually have to work hard. There is no comparison to miss universe gtfo

Take away the drugs and the majority of the amazing physiques in bodybuilding would look like they never worked out in their life.

Take away diet, take away training, and the majority of the amazing physiques in bodybuilding would look like they never used steroids in their life.

What is your point exactly? Steroid use for physique enhancement and better performance dates back to the 40s and 50s. Take away steroids and football and baseball would have withered and died. If your argument is something along the lines of "back in such and such day Arnold and Lou only looked at real pharma ciba dianabol and that's all they needed! THINGS WERE GREAT NOW THEY ARE SHIT!" well guess what?

You are stuck in the past. You are upset your champs retired and moved on, I still wish Yates was Mr. Olympia. If you love the sport of bodybuilding then you love it. If you cannot love it the way it is today maybe you should be on a golf forum.

And for what it's worth I truly believe the advancement of physiques has a LOT to do with evolved knowledge on how to precisely diet down and dehydrate, how to train optimally, and how drug synergies can be used to go to the next level.

ITS NOT ALL DRUGS BROTHER. TODAYS BODYBUILDER IS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE ADVANCED IN ALL STAGES OF OFFSEASON AND PRECONTEST PREP. THAT IS WHY PHYSIQUES LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE 70`S, NOT DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS.

Hate to be rude but I am sick of hearing the same thing all the time. Yes, Arnold was Mr. O in a simpler more gentle time. He rode his bicycle to the boardwalk and hit on girls and worked out with scantily clad grown men on his shoulders and tanned on the beach before a contest. That was 70s prep. That is why bbers today look crazy in comparison.
