So it seems that some people have been banned and what not... Alex... Disturbia... Plus others... What gives with the ban hammer?

While the gimmicks are sometimes irritating, I'm wondering what the deal is... They made the board entertaining to say the least.

What gives?

Why is it if I type in someone's name, it changes it? Or is that mod doing so?

I guess I just get confused as to the "Forum Rules"... I understand that there are rules, but let's be honest, rules around here are about as flexible as a rubberband.

I believe its the extent to which the rules are broken. I agree that rules are broken all the time. However, with Anabolichalo, he broke many forum rules within a short amount of time and was pretty severe (making racially charged comments toward Lobstah). Plus, he was spamming the board with a lot of stupid threads. While we all break forum rules here and there, with Anabolichalo it is so damn obvious. When you draw that much attention to yourself, expect to be banned. Again, its the degree to which he broke the rules.

be a man, act like a grown-up, post your experience, post your question, bounce your ideas off of others who may have similar experiences, ect... I dont' see the point in the trolling shit or gimmicks with your 'alternate personality' and whatnot.. seems like a lot of wasted energy.

They are sometimes entertaining, sometimes not, but that's just how it goes.

Sure... some are way more irritating than others, but you can always ignore them.

I don't know. It wouldn't take very long indeed for this place to turn into the seventh level of TO hell if the modding were to go away completely.

I am going to engage in a little OMR ass-kissing here, so those with delicate constitutions might want to click the "back" button now.

The mods do a good job walking the line between over and under modding. I like Halo and I didn't find his shit that problematic, but I get where the TO came from. He likely went over the line, although I didn't see it.

Hopefully, he'll come back and be the same bodybuilding Asberger's self, but without the stuff that gets you TO'd. He probably won't make it because gimmicks gotta gimmick. But a man can hope...
