i found it funny too funky bro... having said that a lot of lifts he did were very full Body and power  oriented. not too sure because weight Lifting is not my field to be honest.  Clean and jerk and all the powerlifting lifts are very technical .

guys back than were afraid of overdevelopimg their chest because they didn't want to appear feminine. that's why the bench press was frowned upon until around the mid 60's when powerlifting became popular

ok thanks funky. That would explain girondas fascination with gironda Dips and Low pulley cable chest flys he did. gironda never built a high chest.

he didn't need it or too much leg work either which he later cut down to the bare minimum so he would stay in proportion.

early on grimek hurt a bicep tendon and the only exercise he could do was laying on a bench and useing a lat bar would do laying down curls this way.

Got to wonder about people like Grimek, Pearl, Reg Park, etc... Were they freaks of nature with very high natural test levels?
(Just like there are those that secrete too much HGH, acromegaly)...

Grim and Pearl admitted to trying some pills (D-Bol for Grim, and I forget what Pearl tried, Nilavar or something?)??

But said it made them sick and only did it a very short time (less than a month).
No disrespect of course (I'm one who doesn't really care if someone used, its part of the iron game). Just makes me wonder if if its something like that, test levels that are sky high naturally, or the guys used longer, thats just their way of admitting it.

Either way, they are still in my list of favorites, Gim, Pearl, park, all legends...

i think grimek was a genetic superior, he took d-bol when it first came out[he was fairly old already] and observed that d-bol alone doesn't really do much without actually training with weights to complement it.hoffman did too.

Funky bro is 100% correct.  Grimek was a very strong lifter .. he was as a Young man outstanding. solid strong. a real lifter.

seemed he liked deep breathing squats and various pull over exercises for chest. Have seen Pictures of him doing some very strange exercises also with Gravity Boots. this is a good article i found...
