Body Builder's Estranged Wife Kidnapped

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A crushed bush in the front yard is the only lasting sign of a terrifying night for the estranged wife of world renowned body builder Dexter "The Blade" Jackson.
The 36-year-old mother told police she had just pulled into her garage, around 10 p.m. Monday, after grocery shopping when two men approached her with a gun. She says they forced her back into her car, and with thick Jamaican accents, told her to keep her head down or they would kill her.
She says they kept a handgun pressed to her neck and asked her about her estranged husband, asking for "big guy Dexter."
She says they also told her they had followed her and had pictures of her and her daughter. According to the report, they repeatedly referred to her as a "blood clot."
The victim told police they drove around for about 45 minutes and the pair were constantly on their cell phones. She says they even transferred her to another car where a third suspect took over driving. She says they then began to argue with a person on their cell phones about "not being in the right place."
Eventually they said they weren't going to kill her, and asked her if they dropped her off from Georgia or Downtown could she find her way home.
She says they dropped her off on University Boulevard near the Plush nightclub. She then walked a little more than three miles to the Longhorn Steakhouse near Regency Mall where she called her family for help. Police don't know why she walked that far before summoning help.
Police say on the surface this appears to be a targeted attack, but they are focusing their investigation on finding out who was the actual target.
JSO Public Information Officer Ken Jefferson said, "we're turning over every rock to see what information we can get that would have led to these events to see what the possible motive would be. We are looking at every avenue that we can."
Jackson has been arrested for traffic violations but he and his estranged wife have no history on record of domestic disputes with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
First Coast News spoke with Dexter Jackson by telephone. He said he had "no idea" why someone would kidnap his estranged wife and then ask for him specifically.
Police are looking for her stolen car to see if it can help lead them to the alleged kidnappers.
The car is a 2003 Black Lexus with a tag number of DW6QJ. The victim gave a limited description of her attackers so there is no composite sketch available at this time.
