The media protects and promotes him as though they were his PR firm. He would not be able to pull all this off twice without them - even when you take out the white guilters and those who vote for him because of his race.

Actually he's probably the most competent politician in the modern era, except for maybe Bill Clinton.

I don't know if my electric bill is cheaper because i just conserve better, but mine is like 50% less than it was 2 years ago.  We all knew in 2008 we weren't gonna see $2.10 gas prices ever again.  But don't worry, if it was a GOP pres, peeps would be saying he doesn't control the gas prices and the EPA won't let them off shore drill.  

The thing is, the GOP hasn't come up with answer that solves these problems that can get elected.

What we have seen is whole lots of petty cry baby bitching like we see from SC.

Until some real leadership evolves, the GOP will continue to lose.

I want someone who can get something done AND get elected.

Based on what things look like now...Congress will be republican...vote a repub in 2016 and things will get done. But they have to compromise where its needed and roll back spending unilaterally if necessary. There are bones to be given, especially on social issues.
