Piss-poor journalism.

Long time ago some dudes sold a BS story about finding a piece of Noah's Ark on Ararat. They did it just to highlight sloppy journalism. The Incredible Discovery of Noah's Ark was the result, aired on a major network.
The program reported that the wood chunk had been carbon dated to the time of the Great Flood.

Afterward, dudes exposed their hoax and reasoning. The "artifact" came from a railroad yard in Long Beach, CA.
