Guess what my love people are allowed to have stereotypes, are allowed to be misguided, ignorant, base beliefs on generalizations and myths and they often do but that does NOT necessarily automatically make them racist and to put everything under the racist umbrella is political correctness gone into over drive .
Your concept of true racism is different from mine.
-Telling a black man or woman he cannot sleep or eat in your hotel because he is black is RACIST.
- Telling a black man or woman he must drink from a different water fountain than whites is RACIST
- Telling a black man or woman he will be paid a lower wage for doing the same job a white man does is RACIST.
-Or he will be only allowed to stay and live in a certain section of town.
- Calling black people the N word in a derogatory manner or otherwise is RACIST.
Saying something like "I love to fuck black girls because they are such beasts in bed" might be derogatory, rude and offensive but in my view can't necessarily be interpreted to be racist.
Off course I wouldn't ever express myself that way and it can often be difficult to judge and there is a fine line.
Did Halo cross it on more than one occasion, yes for sure, there is no argument there.
The question I am asking is what is balanced and appropriate punishment in your view? A lifetime ban?
Let's be clear:
1) I am not calling Halo racist because he said he preferred to bang black girls. I am calling Halo a racist because he spent WEEKS following me around on this board to say extremely derogatory things about black women (comparing us to dogs, saying we are only useful as prostitutes, etc) and hurling racial slurs at me. He can have whatever racial preference he wants and even believe whatever stereotypes he wants (yes, sadly, that's still racist though. Look up the word "racist" in the dictionary if you disagree), but when he becomes COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL and starts to target A SINGULAR INDIVIDUAL, that's a completely different story. That's crossing the line. THAT'S why he was punished.
2) [to address another poster that I haven't quoted] Yes, "mudshark" is a racist term, and Booty I understand why you would not want to be called it, but the person being degraded is your black partner. Your black partner is the "mud," and being called that name is society's way of asking why you are
slumming it. Again, I think that's a shitty thing to call someone, but I think it's shitty to call someone that because the sentiment behind it is
"you are a fine white woman, so why are you rolling around in the dirt?"3) Halo hasn't been banned. He is in time out. He will be back. Would I personally ban him for life? If this were MY board, YES, absofuckinglutely, BUT IT'S NOT. IT'S RON'S BOARD.

My opinion is irrelevant, I have no control over when T.O. started or ends, and he isn't gone forever!I hate the guy and if he were on fire, I wouldn't piss on him to put it out, but the mods didn't put this in place because of MY hate or complaints. I didn't MAKE any complaints. THEY noticed his transgressions and they did their goddamn jobs.
