Back in the day, I went out of my way in "fighting racism on Getbig". But, then I realized, there is free speech, and if people want to be ignorant racists, allow them to. At least they show how they really feel. Rather than the PC racists, who go about it in a passive-aggressive way.
Also, many were trolling for reactions. And many on here got some serious mental issues. And finally, this can be used as a training ground. With all the quick wit and verbal jabs, one can learn to handle the face to face racists and idiots. If you see how SquadFather brings out meltdown after meltdown on other sites, where as here, it's normal, you start to see that Getbig in some odd form toughens you up...or maybe some do becomes desensitized.

This in no way condones his behavior however. In fact, Lobstah response would be what a normal person would say.
Also a Pro being harassed on here, and we ask "why are there a lack of Pros?" Well, you have one, and that person is being targeted, harassed, and derogatory remarks are being made. Why would this Pro stay here and post?

Let's be clear:
1) I am not calling Halo racist because he said he preferred to bang black girls. I am calling Halo a racist because he spent WEEKS following me around on this board to say extremely derogatory things about black women (comparing us to dogs, saying we are only useful as prostitutes, etc) and hurling racial slurs at me. He can have whatever racial preference he wants and even believe whatever stereotypes he wants (yes, sadly, that's still racist though. Look up the word "racist" in the dictionary if you disagree), but when he becomes COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL and starts to target A SINGULAR INDIVIDUAL, that's a completely different story. That's crossing the line. THAT'S why he was punished.
2) [to address another poster that I haven't quoted] Yes, "mudshark" is a racist term, and Booty I understand why you would not want to be called it, but the person being degraded is your black partner. Your black partner is the "mud," and being called that name is society's way of asking why you are slumming it. Again, I think that's a shitty thing to call someone, but I think it's shitty to call someone that because the sentiment behind it is "you are a fine white woman, so why are you rolling around in the dirt?"
3) Halo hasn't been banned. He is in time out. He will be back. Would I personally ban him for life? If this were MY board, YES, absofuckinglutely, BUT IT'S NOT. IT'S RON'S BOARD.
MODS noticed that he was being an asshole. RON asked him to chill out. He didn't. RON put the T.O. in place. Stop asking me what punishment I see fit! My opinion is irrelevant, I have no control over when T.O. started or ends, and he isn't gone forever!I hate the guy and if he were on fire, I wouldn't piss on him to put it out, but the mods didn't put this in place because of MY hate or complaints. This is Get Big after all and this place is unique for a reason, we tolerate each other way more than perhaps we should do, but that's whats so special about it in my view.

Racism is a hugely controversial topic (always has been in history) and different countries and cultures have different opinions/views/laws on the matter.

If you had a friend in jail even if he did wrong, wouldn't you not try to help out if you could and were asked if you knew that person had good as well as bad points about them?

I am here mostly for bodybuilding related talk aka schmoe but I still notice when someone who was worthy of something gets banned for no apparent reason. They simply make people disappear.

Getbig is one of the few places where you can express yourself without being banned after one politically incorrect remark. But, Anibolicho made it his goal to be persistently bullying and stalkerish.
Talking smack is one thing, but being downright relentless and viscious to someone that is a civilian and not part of 'the Getbig fray' is bullshit. He should serve his time than come back.

Quite the opposite. It is much more 'alpha' to be one of the few people to go against the grain and stand up for what is right. To be clear, nobody that agrees with Anibolicho's POW status thinks he shouldn't come back eventually. (Except maybe Lobstah - understandably)

Really all this is about is a bunch of people want to band together in a group and feel powerful in numbers by demanding Ahole's return. They don't really like Ahole that much.
