The body-builder with no arms: Meet the inspiring mother-of-two who can still hold her own



This past weekend at the NPC Junior USA Bodybuilding Championship, only one bodybuilder among hundreds of the men and women competing got a standing ovation.  Though she didn't win any major awards, armless bodybuilder Barbie Thomas had the Charleston, South Carolina crowd cheering and on their feet.  The 37-year-old mother-of-two lost both her arms during a horrific electrical accident as a toddler - but that hasn't stopped her from pursuing her bodybuilding dream.

Best legs contest maybe, but she has no way to work her upper body.  Would the other competitors say the contest was "rigged" if she had won?

What's next... a piano playing contest?

What a fighter. Power to her. Oh man and im having a fit because my mail is not on time. I cant even imagine what it is like to be in her place for life. Really makes me appreciate what I've got.

Yes, but she can't pose.  She has no arms and is completing in a bodybuilding contest  ???

She already is a Winner.Got Courage and self respect. I doubt very much if she went up there just to "lift a trophy".. A winner in my mind. A beautiful woman .

That's fantastic to see good on her but lets not forget that some one at to cook all her meals, changed all her weights at the gym even move the pin on machines to changes weights.

So there was a team behind her with out them she couldn't do it plane and simple.
