Australia had a very decent team back in 2006 but haven't replaced guys like Emerton, Kewell and Viduka.
Can see them being the whipping boys this year. They don't have the quality and are in a very tough group.

Fact is, fat soccer mum/4wd system sucks, local kids must play together on any ground just like in Brazil,Africa,Europe
Attending those camps in perfect gear under fatso mum observation will not produce another Pele,Garincha or Maradona.
For example, empty beach near me & no 10yo barefoot players anywhere in sight (like in Brazil) + parks.

Another fact: Australia now easily qualify through Asian Football Confederation, old way was much much harder.

I work odd hours and will be taping many of the games. I look at GB during work (like now) but will avoid sport sites. Yeah, he declined pretty rapidly but was a quality player at Leeds though. The best teams in Europe (Barcelona, Milan etc.) were interested in him at the time.
