If Uruguay lost 3-1 this must be bizarro world so England will play great.

Onto my beers now, had wine to warm up don't wanna go out of the blocks too fast.

LOL england

Great start, thought Sterling had scored with that belter. I want England to do well, I'm Irish but half the team play for Liverpool and the hysteria is always fun.

Rooney seems to have his thumb up his ass, I don't think they've even said his name yet.

His hair transplant also is looking pretty bad.

Been anonymous, Sterling playing great, good to see. Welbeck playing well too, think he gets a lot of grief for poor finishing but his pace and runs make up for it.

Good match so far.

England did their best to give up another before the half.

Great header by Jagielka to stop that going in. Good match, was worried it would be shit after all the build up. Sterling has been great, something about teenagers making debut in tournaments for England. Owen, Rooney, now Sterling.

England doesn't seem to dive as much as other teams.

Watching La Liga is painful at times. Great footballers pirhouetting onto the grass every two minutes.

Ticos making history!  Loved it. England made mistakes but played tough.  Roy needs to give more younger players the chance.  England's not out of it yet.  Japan started strong but the heat or humidly killed them.  They were walking around the pitch the final 20 minutes.  Two good Ivory Coast goals.
