I love this game, and my country, but even I have a hard time getting too juiced about 1 win, 1 loss, 1 draw, net 0 goal difference ... yet a "strong" second place finish.

US played very well. A great effort to survive such a group.

Japan and Korea have gone backwards. They were far stronger four years back. Lots of neat passing but little penetration this year.
I thought Algeria's goal against Russia was quite controversial. Someone from the crowd was clearly shining a laser at the Russian keeper's face before the free kick was taken which seemed to distract him.
I've been most impressed with Colombia so far although I can't see them winning.

Brazil (barely)
Uruguay (playing well so far)
Mexico (because fuck Holland!)
Costa Rica (Greeks will go on strike if they don't win, and forfeit the game)
France (best of those two African teams)
Germany (they always get through somehow)
Argentina (How the fuck did Switzerland even get there?)
Belgium (both very fit teams, but Belgian players are more cunning)

Uruguay lost Suarez, plus I see Colombia in the finals...they are very strong. I will agree with the Brazil barley comment. .I feel the same.

Holland is a power house and will also be in the finals IMO.

Yes, Colombia look very strong.
What do make of Argentina so far? They seem very reliant on Messi at the moment. I think they'll struggle in the latter stages against the bigger teams.
