Holland will beat Argentina.

Germany should beat Brazil, they are missing Neymar and Silva but Brazil will have the ref and FIFA supporting them. I wish I was joking about that but I am not.

Germany and Holland have been 2 best teams so far but on any given day...

I won't pick the Dutch as long as their offensive strategy is to take dives 100 times a game.

I don't understand how Rodden's teammates look that fuckhead in the eye.

He is a great player.

You have to understand these guys get kicked 100 times/match. Most of the time they get on with it but if it is in penalty area or would gain them an advantage they will dive to bring attention to the foul.

In Premier League this year a West Ham player was kicked really hard but stood up, ref ignored it and he got no penalty.Honesty bears no reward.

The Germans take on Brazil today, im predicting Hitler's team will prevail.

With Neymar and Silva out they don't stand a chance.  To bad Kaka did not get called up.  I would of also liked to hav seen Ronaldinio play in this world cup....

I predicted on the first page the Germans will win the cup. They will really pick up the pace today. Now the germans will be the most hated team in Brazil.

Nah, Argentina will still be the most hated team. If it came to be a Germany v Argentina final Brazilians would cheer Germany.

Germany should win tonight, this wasn't a good Brazilian team to start with but they've lost 2 of their best players now. Pressure is off them though and they will play filthy, scrappy football to try to frustrate Germany.

Looking at semi finals I found interesting:

Brazil v Germany was 2002 final.

Holland v Argentina was 1978 final.

Germany v Holland was 1974 final.

Germany v Argentina was 1986 and 1990 final.

Only Brazil v Holland has never been a final; Brazil beat Holland on penalties in semi-finals before and Holland knocked Brazil out of the last world cup in QF.

Scolari's squad selection was poor. Kaka had a good enough season to justify a place in the team while Lucas Moura's omission seems even worse now that Neymar is out.
Pato would have been a far better bet up front than Fred despite his form/injuries.

Cannot see this happening. Only if van Persie is taken out is this a possibility.

They have been playing far better and Van Gaal has the nous to reduce Messi's impact. Messi is so good you never know but they will limit his effectiveness.

Of course, you can never be certain. I don't bet on sports because it is so unpredictable (football anyway) and it takes away any real enjoyment of what is happening.

I thought my bit of trivia a few posts back was very interesting  :'(

The semi final line up has ended up being quite predictable though.
Before the tournament began, the general opinion was that the final four would be Brazil, Germany, Argentina and Spain.
Okay, Spain bombed but Holland is hardly a surprise package either.
2002 was the last WC that had un-fancied nations reaching the final stages with Korea and Turkey both semi-finalists.

My Final four looked just like this, with Brazil and Argentina advancing to the Finals.

I still think Argentina will advance to the Finals. Both teams have world class players on offense, but comparable weak players on defense. The South American teams seem to do a little better at this World Cup.

Since I've gained some trust back in my home country, I think Germany beats Brazil tonight. Their defense has looked improved against France, while Brazil is missing two key players.

No.....just fucking no. Stop with this shit.

Nobody got kicked 100 times a match. The diving shit ruins the game. The fake theatrics and fake injuries ruin the game. This is not "brilliant strategy", it's a bunch of fucking pansies trying to act devious instead of smart.

The announcers play along and are just as fucking guilty. It's bullshit plain and simple.
