I'm starting to get stretch marks in my anterior delts and armpit area. what is to be done?

just really cant be arsed plus they get hit from back and bench and weighted dips. just lazy tho ill maybe start cos they look small compared to rest of body

I have them on my delts as well, try coco butter it has worked well for me and those that I know.

i would say i gain easier than at least 99% of the training population. if i trained like a bb i would be much bigger.

The first time I bulked I wound up with stretch marks around my delts, only my delts, that's the only place that's grown fast enough to produce them. I was so proud.  Grin

well these are the first stretch marks i've ever had. i'm 189 (highest weight ever had) and i'm getting a little fatty too. been bulking for 60 weeks LOL.

There is no cure or quick-fix for stretch marks I'm afraid. Not that people haven't been looking for one, the pharmaceutical industry reckon even a preventative against stretch marks would be worth tens of billions of dollars a year. Every pregnant woman would pay whatever it took to get their hands on it.

Some interesting facts about stretch marks:
-UV photography has shown that nearly 90% of the population (over 25) have stretch marks in their armpits.
-the length and width of stretch marks depends not only on muscle (fat) mass, but also on muscle structure (the longer the front deltoid, the greater the extent of stretching)
-stretch marks extending across the pectoral are most likely to tear (ie: become wider than 1/2 inch and require stitching)

However, there is one little trick I've kept up my sleeve... one that works quite well... vitamin E.

Simply cut open a 400 iu vitamin E capsule and rub the oil (daily) into the reddened area of the stretch mark, this speeds up the healing (scarring) process and can even take the redness out of old stretch marks.

Vitamin E usually comes in little oil filled capsules. Snip the edge of one with a scissors and squeeze out the oil, this is what you rub onto the stretch marks.

You're better off using a more concentrated vitamin E, hence I recommend at least 400 iu capsules.

I would agree with bald.  Show them off with pride.  Don't cover them up.  They will fade over time, but then hopefully you will have new ones Smiley
