I actually own a pair, I used them alot on travels in excotic places where I don't know what's lurking in the waters i step on, I could swim in them and walk on the beach on them which is a lot more useful than flipflops, saved me from sea urchins and nasty insects on many times.....but if you're making this post about people wearing them in gyms, then yes, I would never do that.

that's usually just people rationalizing their purchase and trying to make everyone around them believe that they're onto something special.  

just like when people eat organic apples for 3 days and tell everyone that "they feel so much better".  ::)

vibrams are the footwear equivalent of a disabled license plate, so I appreciate the wearers for voluntarily self-identifying as total douchetards

new balance makes a minimus shoe that has the same sole but none of the stink of crossfit tryhard-ery
