Best excuse someone gave me for why he wouldn't be juicing: he's too poor.  I believe it because he had no money for school, let alone for juice or bodybuilding.  I wonder how Frank affords lots of gear and food being in a province like Newfoundland which is poor.  Frank said he spends $1,000 a month on food even when he's dieting.

Guys, I KNOW EXACTLY what Frank McGrath took when he won Canadien Nats. I'm not going to tell you what he was taking but I will tell you that the TOTAL cost of his entire pre contest cycle was $1400. I don't know what he is taking now but as an amateur it wasn't much.

Any newbies reading this, don't kid yourselves - if you did that much gear you would put on AT LEAST 20 pounds of mass just by eating a high protein diet.

At the pro level, $1400 i s a joke, but to newbies it would be tons.  It is a lot of gear no matter how you cut it, but relative to a lot of the guys in the pro ranks he is doing ok.

Last I checked Newfoundland was poor though and even St. John's isn't doing too well.  Offhand, how does Frank make the money?  Is his family well off?

Yes to newbies it's alot, but Frank is a pro and not a newbie. Franks family does not have a lot of money and the only income he has is his contract from Universal and guest posings. He could be making alot more money, but many people say he's lazy including his sister. I don't know if he pays for his drugs himself now, but before he was a pro, a "sponsor" bought and took him all of his drugs. Thats how I know what he was taking.

Well tell Frank I could get him in Musclemag if he's interested in an interview.  Have him drop me a line @ webmaster@bodybuildingpro.com, not to mention I could get him some press on my website.  He NEEDS to get a DVD out, it would sell like mad - I would see to it.  Someone needs to tell him to get on this stuff.  My guess is that he is not so much lazy, but too dedicated to working out and eating to think about these things.  My mom thought I was lazy because I didn't clean my room, but in reality I was focussing on my double major - it's called prioritizing.

Frank has TONS of appeal.  All the guys on here are fans of his because he has an awesome structure and he's tall too.  He has a marketable look - chicks will say he's good looking and how many pros do you hear them say that about?  Killer chest and arms.

You are exactly right. I'm not so sure lazy is the right word to use either. From what I've been told, Frank is just "settling" for mediocrity when he could be doing all of things that you mentioned. Hopefully someone will kick him in the ass and get him to realize this before it's too late.

I don't think you realize how truly small a 28" waist is. Flex Wheeler maybe had a 30" waist at the 93 Olympia and that is about the smallest we have ever seen (short of Buchanon which is an anomaly).

Yeah, I know.  My waist is 30" sucked in and 32" sticking out as much as possible and my waist is tiny.  Let's not forget I have nowhere near Frank's upper body mass and even on my small frame my waist looks small.

But I don't think 28" is too far off, like I said.  Maybe it is 32" or less.  Definitely tiny amongst pros.
