I'm a little under 220lbs, and I still struggle with being able to do more than 7 full range pullups, even though I'm very strong on pulldowns, rows, etc.      The strongest I ever got on pullups was when I did about a month and a half of super-slow (10 seconds positive, 10 seconds negative) chins on the assisted chin machine.  After that my regular non assisted pullup reps went up about 50%.
I'm 220 and I bang out 20 just like I could when I was 180
This excuse about being heavy
Well jay is carrying 20lb more muscle on his back he should be able to bang out reps just like anyone else ... Disgrace

It doesn't work that way, a few exceptions excluded, since the strength-muscle mass correlation isn't 1.

Stan Efferding has a big bank account, it just doesnt translate well onto the bbing stage.

i was actually going to say legs. But, thought to be sarcastic.
If anything, we (bbing aficionados) complain about how quads are too big, so wouldn't Joel Stubbs meet the criteria with his downsized legs. Or is it that his upper body and lower body don't match up.
But, we cannot negate the fact that his back is better than 4X Mr. O Jay Cutler,,and it rivals Ronnie's and Dorian's in terms of width, thickness and detail. It's like the back Dillett should have had.

I like the oversized quads. I think rami is the best thing going right now.

If dillet had stubs back and could move on stage in ways that didnt resemble a robot on heroin he would of been the best ever.

Nasser is still the king of pullups. Only IFBB-pro easily pulling 12-15 clean, weighted reps.



hahahaha I was not expecting what I saw out of this Nasser video....what are these pros thinking? It's embarrassing. Yes, Cutler is Mr. Olympia but at least have the pride to be able to do a few unassisted pull ups no matter what part of the workout you are in...otherwise be open to ridicule. You are Mr. Olympia. If the average male can do 3 pull ups Mr. Olympia should be able to as well.

The average guy should be able to do at least 5 undergrip chins. A good friend of mine is a runner and talks always about big guys having no cardio Fitness. He does for example BB Bench press with an empty Bar for 50 reps because he does not want too much muscle ??? I said save your Money just do push ups ;) anyway one day he was at my place and i said do some chins, he never did 1. he weighs about 70 Kilos tops. weak as fuck...
