The Real Messiah?
« on: June 10, 2014, 04:59:52 PM »
Friends, Romans, Christians -- Listen up!

Who indeed is the Messiah?  Is it someone crucified 2,000 years ago,
whose legend lives in the Bible, whose works are known only through
the testament of those long gone?

Or could it be someone who has lived in modern times,  whose deeds
shine with the luster of the miraculous, and yet whose exploits are in
the memories of those still alive.

Let's get real.  There is only one who has destroyed the greatest evil
since Satan and the serpent, who has liberated the modern world from a
dark and deadly tyranny, who has literally rescued civilization from
suffering, starvation, ignorance, and despair.

Picture him now -- ramrod erect and striding toward us with his
trademark helmet and stern but beneficent gaze.  Honor him now - this
man of military might and unmatched honor, unbowed by adversity and
ever-confident of God's power.

Just ask yourself: What greater miracle can there be than the defeat
of the Nazi killers, the liberation of Europe, and the 50-year march
toward the freedom of Russia and Eastern Europe. Who made it happen?
Jesus?  Guess again!

Worship him now -- at long last, the flesh-and-blood alternative to an
evanescent "spirit in the sky", the real-world messenger of the good
and righteous, God's true and wonderful arbiter of hope and implacable
right: the REAL Messiah -- General of the Army George S. Patton!

Amen!

Well that's 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back.
